Students are encouraged to post their own book blurbs on this blog. Simply click the “comments” link and write a little blurb about a book you enjoyed and recommend for others to read. Include the title of the book, author, and other importnat information. It’s that simple!
Bonus: Mrs. Matlack will offer extra credit for posting a book blurb. See the librarian (me!) or Mrs. Matlack for more info.

Okay so have your parents ever gotten on your nerves for being so strict that you just want to leave. Well for the main character in the book Burned by Ellen Hopkins this has happened. She lives in a strict mormon house. Her father is a jerk, her mother just puts up with it, and she is never noticed unless she is getting yelled at. She gets mad at school and does something she shouldn’t do. Her parents thinking that it is a good punishment send her off to her aunts house. For her it is probably the best thing that had ever happened to her. She experiences love, lust, not to mention she gets a pair of jeans that otherwise she would have never worn. When things in the book go from awesome, to bad, to terrible, she has to cope with everything and then deal with her parents. This book is totally amazing!
